Living and Dying at Home, the Importance of Supportive & Palliative Care

Supportive & Palliative CareWhen someone has been diagnosed with a terminal illness one of the difficult decisions they are faced with is where they want to live in the time they have left and ultimately where they want to die.

This section will gives some general advice on the possible support available to you and your family as you make these important and personal decisions. It explores the reality of choice and whilst it hopefully answers some questions, it may prompt other questions, which you may wish to discuss further with people involved in your care. Patients and their families should always remember that this is their choice and that they can change their mind if this is no longer their preferred choice or if circumstances change.
